Be honest. How much time do you spend in app? According to eMarketer, U.S. adults spend nearly two hours a day using apps on their phone, compared to spending 19 minutes searching the web. Why? Mobile app speed, accessibility and functionality are factors. Is your brand’s app up-to-date? Instagram is on it. The platform announced a new feature this week that lets you zoom in. Thank you, said middle-aged consumers everywhere. Speaking of Boomers, Facebook says users have finally gotten the hang of Reactions.

App time swells to 86 percent of smartphone time. When it comes to the amount of time Americans have their heads buried in their smartphones, increasingly they’re using apps rather than surfing the mobile web.
