It’s no secret that Oreo does social media well. But have you noticed how well they do gamification?
When you take a look at their Twitter page, you’ll spot several different game-based concepts. But can you spot the five differences in this particular one?
Nope, you’re not seeing double! Spot 5 differences! pic.twitter.com/U5FrmvRtrD

Don’t worry if you couldn’t spot them all. Some of their games are a little easier. Let’s take a look at this crossword puzzle, for example.

Time for another guessing game. Using graphics instead of words, Oreo’s trying to spell something out for their fans. Can you figure out the message?

With this tweet, the brand asks that you keep your thinking caps on—and it’s clear their social media team did. In the form of a visual, they pose the question, “Which would you rather do?” If you’d rather sleep on a bed of Oreo cookies, the brand asks that you press “retweet.” If you’d rather dream only about Oreo cookies, they ask that you press favorite. Either way, they’re asking fans to engage on their post in a fun way—and hundreds did just that.
Ironically, a decision you might lose sleep over. #WouldYouRather pic.twitter.com/6U7DjYFIpx

Some fans may argue that Oreo cookies are magic. And we’re not disagreeing… but we’d argue that this social media visual is magic. (It’s really moving, isn’t it?!) This optical illusion performed exceptionally well with the brand’s audience—garnering more than 1,500 retweets and more than 2,000 favorites. How’s that for magical?
You might want to sit down for this. #Ollusions pic.twitter.com/iCWKqehfa9
