Creating marketing campaigns that extend government outreach.

At Brogan, we have been partnering with government clients for over 40 years. So we have become experts at creating strategic marketing campaigns to increase outreach and bridge the gap between government services and resources to the people who need them.

One of our longest-running client partnerships is with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). We have a long history of successful outreach campaigns, starting with the AIDS crisis in the 1980’s. From crime victims to child support, we’ve touched every imaginable health and human services program. For every campaign we do, we research and dive deep into insights to find the right messages that will resonate with each target audience and demographic. Here is some of the work we’ve done for 988, Stay Well and Substance Use Disorder to encourage people to reach out for resources and support.

We have deep experience with Medicare and Medicaid, from both the provider/insurer and government side. When Medicaid Expansion increased the availability of affordable healthcare to working Americans, we helped Michigan launch the Healthy Michigan Plan. Within three weeks of the launch of our multi-media campaign, Michigan was providing coverage to nearly 140,000 Michigan residents. Ultimately, that number climbed to 600,000 enrollees.

Older people who are eligible for Medicare find the process of choosing plans complicated and confusing. The Michigan Medicare Assistance Program (MMAP) came to us to communicate to seniors that they are a free, unbiased resource to help navigate people through their Medicare options. Having deep expertise in talking to mature audiences, our campaign for MMAP used humor to break through.

Over the years, we have developed many campaigns for the Michigan Veteran’s Affairs Agency (MVAA). Through our work we were able to help increase awareness and use of veteran benefits. Many vets simply did not realize all the support the MVAA offered. And depending on their service, didn’t think they were qualified. Using inclusive testimonials, we showed that whoever they are or however they served, they earned their benefits.

For the Michigan State Police, we have created recruitment campaigns to increase diversity in the force and a really powerful campaign bringing awareness to targeted acts of violence and preventing mass attacks. Our video for a campaign to prevent human trafficking went viral, getting millions of views social media.
