Emergent trauma, loneliness and wage loss resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic create the “perfect storm” for mental health issues. This is especially true among our veteran population, compounding upon other challenges they may face. Which is why our client, Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, enlisted Brogan to create a multi-media campaign to build awareness of special programs and assistance designed to help struggling veterans during the pandemic.
From emergency relief funds to a live “Virtual Coffee Hour” series addressing key concerns, to a “CheckOnMIVet” program intended to assure veterans are maximizing their well-deserved benefits, MVAA wanted to assure veterans, “You’re not alone.” And what better way to express this message than through MVAA Director, Zaneta Adams, a veteran who empathizes that she too has struggled. TV, CTV, Cable, Radio, YouTube, Digital, Outdoor, Search and Social served to carry the message to those who have served us. View :30 TV spot here.
The successful campaign surpassed CTA goals for website visits and calls to accredited Veteran Service Officers to connect veterans to services and resources. We are currently working on phase 2 of this campaign, to promote additional innovative resources including a “Buddy-to-Buddy” mentorship program and connection to vet-friendly employment opportunities.
As our Brogan mission is making a positive difference in peoples’ lives, our work with MVAA is near and dear to our hearts. In honor of Veterans Day, I will close with this short video created in partnership with our client to honor all veterans. Watch short video here.
