Celebrating 40 years of creative advertising, #34: Consumers Energy

Consumers Energy invests a lot of energy (and money) into making the lives of Michiganders better. They partnered with Brogan to promote their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) educational initiatives. We made the idea genius. We connected their various education programs under a single, powerful brand platform: the Generation Genius Project.  The campaign promoted their STEM educational initiatives, built awareness of their sponsorship of Michigan’s FIRST Robotics program and encouraged kids to get involved in STEM in their communities.

Generation Genius was an incredibly inspirational campaign. We created a video that explores the nature of genius. How it is not born but nurtured. That it takes teamwork. And that failing is just part of the journey to success. The campaign also included a microsite, posters, social media, digital ads and T-shirts for the robotics team.

At Brogan, we love being able to make a difference in people’s lives. And we have a soft spot for when it comes to kids. Years later, we still love the energy this campaign brings. And are forever grateful to Consumers Energy for giving us the power to let our creative team’s genius shine.
