Raleigh, NC — Brogan & Partners Convergence Marketing announced today that the agency’s work was honored five times at the 24th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, including projects to protect children from skin cancer, raise continued awareness of AIDS and communicate the dangers of second-hand smoke.
“We can’t say it enough: great creative starts with great people,” said Maria Marcotte, Brogan’s managing partner. “Our staff really works hard to get to know our clients and their audiences, understand their goals and challenges, and translate that relationship into powerful, memorable creative.”
Brogan received a silver award for its work with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Cancer Awareness Branch, which included print ads to create urgency about the importance of limiting sun exposure to children. Brogan also received a silver award for its direct mail designed to increase positive awareness about the Institute of Reproductive Health and its partnership with The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
The agency received a bronze for its work developing collateral for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s new long-term care insurance company, Lifesecure.
Brogan also won two merit awards, one for a candle print ad for Michigan Department of Community Health and the other for a TV spot designed for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Start With Your Heart campaign. The AIDS ad marked the 25th year since the epidemic’s discovery, urging people to be continually vigilant. The “George and Stanley” spot for Start With Your Heart dealt with the dangers of secondhand smoke and can be viewed at here.
The competition, sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report, is the largest of its kind with a record 4,300 entries this year. Winners were selected by a national panel of judges based on excellence in advertisement quality, consumer appeal, message effectiveness, graphic design, creativity and overall impact.
