With a degree in journalism from Hampton University in Virginia, Kayla began teaching the agency a whole new vocabulary the day she arrived, starting with the days of the week. Forget Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. These are now officially Magnificent Monday, Terrific Tuesday, and Wonderful Wednesday—in every email Kayla sends.
Add this bright, positive outlook to a wealth of experience in public relations and events management, and you have a Fabulous Find for Brogan, and an Amazing Asset to our clients. Kayla came to Brogan from the Atlanta Hawks, where she worked in Corporate Partnerships, helping promote and coordinate VIP group experiences, manage player appearances and assist with special events. (Knowing Kayla, we suspect she also served as an unofficial but very enthusiastic Atlanta Hawks cheerleader.) Before her career in basketball, she worked at Uniworld Group in Dearborn, assisting with the creation and implementation of public relations plans for Ford Motor Company.
It’s not every day you run across such a combination of smarts, enthusiasm and positivity. But what clinched the job for Kayla was her past experience as the Governor of the State of Michigan.* With all our work for state government clients, how could we pass her up?
*Kayla participated in the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Program in which more than a hundred high school girls formed the state of Michigan by representing various cities and counties. After a successful and very upbeat campaign, Kayla was elected Governor.
