Brogan & Partners names new managing partner.

Birmingham, MI -- Maria Marcotte has been named Managing Partner at Brogan & Partners Convergence Marketing as part of the award-winning agency's practice of rotating the key position among top management.

Marcotte is responsible for leading day-to-day operations and implementing strategy set forth by the Board of Directors, with support from the agency's partners. The previous Managing Partner, Deidre Bounds, will now oversee the Digital, PR, and Healthcare departments.

"The concept of rotating our managing partner strengthens the agency," said Marcie Brogan, CEO of Brogan & Partners. "Maria has really ramped up the agency's new business brigade. In just the first month under her leadership as managing partner, the agency has won two new accounts, earned a new assignment from an existing client and is already a finalist in several upcoming pitches."

Marcotte will report to the chairman on a daily basis and report to the Board of Directors quarterly. She will also continue to serve as the COO and on the Board of Directors. Marcotte has been with Brogan & Partners for 17 years. She resides in the city of Birmingham, MI with her cat Merle and three stuffed birds.

Brogan & Partners participates in career mentorship.

Raleigh, NC -- Brogan & Partners Convergence Marketing announced today the hiring of Chris Morse as account coordinator, part of several recent moves to help the agency manage a growing client base.

Morse will work primarily with the agency's largest client in the North Carolina office, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), as well as the North Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists (NCANA), and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

"Chris is a terrific addition to our agency," said Jim Tobin, partner and manager of the Raleigh office. "He's the ultimate team player who brings a fresh perspective and a real spirit of enthusiasm."

A Massachusetts native, Morse obtained his bachelor's degree in Corporate Communication from Elon University with a minor in Sociology. He worked this past year with NPO North Carolina Campus Compact at UNC Chapel Hill in addition to many leadership experiences, including a stint as Student Body President at Elon.

Brogan & Partners added several new clients in 2006, creating the need for additional support. Brandi Royal transferred to the Raleigh office from Detroit as account supervisor, and the firm recently hired Fred Hartman as Director of Public Relations, among other hires.

Hix earned a Bachelor of Art degree in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. She has collaborated with many other Detroit ad agencies, including Campbell-Ewald, Leo Burnett, J. Walter Thompson and Doner on accounts ranging from Chevrolet to Pizza Hut. Her creative work has earned her dozens of industry awards. Hix lives in Beverly Hills, MI with her husband, Steve Hix, and their two daughters.

Former Easley Press Secretary to head Brogan & Partners public relations practice.

Fred Hartman to Leave State Government After Six Years

[Raleigh, NC] - Fred Hartman, former press secretary to Governor Mike Easley and current executive director of the state advertising and communications agency for North Carolina, will leave government in early January to join Brogan & Partners Convergence Marketing as Director of Public Relations, the firm announced today.

Hartman served as Easley's press secretary from 2001 until June of 2003. At that time he was appointed by the Governor to revitalize the state's in-house advertising and communications agency, officially known as the Agency for Public Telecommunications. In that role, Fred has driven a 700% increase in revenue for the organization by providing services to other agencies within state and federal government.

"Fred has a rare combination of depth of experience in public relations and great relationships with the media, along with a true entrepreneurial spirit," said Jim Tobin, partner in charge of the North Carolina operation for Brogan & Partners. "We're just thrilled to have him on our team to provide leadership for such an important practice area for us."

Hartman will be busy managing public relations clients and staff in both Brogan's Raleigh office and in Brogan's office in suburban Detroit. Brogan & Partners was formed in 1984 as an advertising agency, but added public relations services in 1990 and digital marketing services in 1996.

Brogan & Partners two-day spooktacular agency treats media reps and kids to Halloween festivities.

Birmingham, MI -- Brogan & Partners Convergence Marketing hosted their annual Media Treats party on Wednesday, October 25th, honoring the representatives they work with from various media outlets. Media representatives were treated to food, drinks and fortunetellers. The purpose of the party is to show how much the agency appreciates working with the stations to negotiate media buys for their clients.

Local Marketing Firm Recognized By The Triangle Business Journal

Raleigh, NC (OPENPRESS) September 29, 2006 -- Jim Tobin, partner at Brogan & Partners Convergence Marketing, has announced that the firm won the 2006 Best Places to Work award from the Triangle Business Journal at a luncheon Sept. 14 at the Embassy Suites in Cary. The firm won in the midsize business category for the annual award, based on a survey performed by Triangle Business Journal with Quantum Market Research. Winners were selected based on an employee-completed survey.

About the Best Places to Work Awards:
Workers in the Triangle nominated their employers as a Best Place to Work in the survey. Nominated companies received an online opinion survey to distribute to workers. Employees then were asked to gauge their level of agreement to a set of 40 quantitative questions that probed their opinions about the organization, managers, co-workers and their own jobs. The survey also allowed respondents to enter qualitative, general comments anonymously. A total of 100 local companies participated in the survey; 92 met the threshold of employee participation to qualify for the competition. Thirty companies received awards after the survey results were analyzed. Winners were the top 10 finishers among small, midsize and large businesses.
