Tourism Giant Recognized By Business Acquaintance

[Birmingham, MI] – The late Wally Bronner is being remembered in a unique way thanks to the Brogan & Partners ad agency.

Two new billboards have been erected in Lansing and Birch Run in memory of Frankenmuth’s tourism giant.

Bronner, who died April 1, was the owner and creator of Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland — the world’s largest Christmas store.

One of the 14-by-48-foot signs was erected Thursday, along Interstate 496, east of Waverly in Lansing, while the other is currently under construction along Interstate 75 in Birch Run.

“When we won the state’s tourism advertising account in 1991, Wally was the first industry biggie to welcome us to the fold,” said Brogan Chief Executive Officer Marcie Brogan.

“He took the time to educate us about his business and about his favorite medium–billboards. He put his money on the line too, actually paying for a state billboard campaign.”

Agency deputy creative director Melissa Weber and art director Katie Condit designed the billboard.
